The War of Eternity is a longtime literary project between my friend Christopher Arndt and myself. At first glance a science fiction epic, its underpinnings are pure fantasy, with a flair of the historical thrown in as well. It follows a set of characters as the galaxy around them deteriorates into war — what they assume to be the war to end all wars. In point of fact, their war is just another battle in the struggle between good and evil that has been going on since the dawn of time.

Or, to summarize more succinctly: spaceships, dragons, espionage, lasers, swords, romance, robots, magic, violence, and all-around radtacularness.

The first book, Prelude, was completed in December 2006 and released in a limited self-published print run. Despite selling very well and garnering unanimously positive reviews, Chris and are currently putting it through rewrites and further concepting the series as a whole before seeking professional publishing. We have also produced the first volume of an illustrated encyclopedia companion volume as we continue to flesh out the Eternity backstory. All these works feature a strong blend of writing, illustrations, and design.

Though it may be some time before the series is completed, there's a world of sci-fi out there starved for fresh ideas and a reprieve from Star Wars prequels (yeah, I went there), and we know that we'll work hard to fill it.

Prelude

PRELUDE
In Prelude, the Aesgar Galaxy stands upon the brink of interstellar war. That's good news to Magnus Laren — as a mercenary, war is his business, and business is good. But when an intelligence raid turns up advanced cybernetic weaponry in the hands of the enemy, things quickly go from bad to worse. The fate of Aesgar may well be tied to a long-forgotten villain, whose knowledge could save the galaxy...or destroy it.

The Guide to Eternity

THE GUIDE TO ETERNITY
The Guide is an illustrated companion volume to Prelude, an encyclopedia full of background details about the world of The War of Eternity. It was also my senior project in college, coming in at 80 pages long, featuring 65 original illustrations, and a from-scratch completion time of just five weeks.

thewarofeternity.com

THEWAROFETERNITY.COM
The official website for The War of Eternity, designed and built by me. It was also the first website I ever built, and as such features some pretty atrocious coding (hence why I'm not featuring it in the Multimedia section). Even so, you can browse a database version of the Guide, reviews of Prelude, download a sample chapter PDF, get free desktop wallpaper, and more. Check it out!
